195 / Puppet Show – Bright Evening Haze

A fourth EP from Puppet Show following a spurt of sudden and successful music making. The EP contains 5 Lo-fi electronic music tracks blended with up-front EDM beats and looped robotic melodies.

A sincere thanks to the wonderful artist R9A for providing his amazing work as album art.

175 / Ignacio Cantú – Movimiento Binaural

Coming from Cordoba, Argentina Ignacio Cantú debuts on Fwonk* with this outstanding album. Indulging his taste for creating atmospherical soundscapes, Ignacio worked with analogue tape by scratching it and cutting it. This was then treated and augmented with digital sound in it’s binarian code using databending techniques. These tracks are electronic experimentation at it’s best, and feature manipulated, ethereal vocals in a collaboration with Clara Gustaffson, from Sweden.

Psychic Soviets / Spaghetti Calligraphy

Previously known as The Vudu Zoo, the Psychic Soviets sound like vintage The Fall. And depending on what you think of Mark E Smith and his rotating rosta of musicians, this is either a very, very good thing or something best ignored. It is of course a very, very good thing.

Bleep Bloop / Feel The Cosmos

Feel The Cosmos is an album length release from Bleep Bloop that sizzles with contemporary sounds – glitch hop, trap and dubstep elements via for supremacy.

8m² / For The Birds

This collection of ambient drones, industrial sounds and music concrete was originally recorded in the mid 1990s by Elmar Hintz on 2, 4 and 8 track audio tapes, giving the cold ambience a warm analogue glow.

106 / Puppet Show: Dynamo Cat Banjo

The third and final EP from the benevolent Irish techno smith Puppet Show has been magic’d to our media device screens! This time round the tracks are louder, noisier and more dance edged then e’er before. The EP is also a longer then e’er before with a whopping seven tracks. Why, that’s almost an entire album. Which certainly wouldn’t be possible without the wonderful co-production action from fellow Fwonk* artists Gross Prophet and Katarrhaktes.

Special thanks to Allyzia for proving the awesome cover art!

To help celebrate Fwonk*s fifth anniversary, we thought we’d treat you all with a delicious outpouring of electronic delight from our regular tame synth-wrangler Fudgedubnofunk. The tracks gurgle, bleep and writhe, the beats pound.
