107 / Katarrhaktes: Collapse

Katarrhaktes ends its series of EPs with ‘collapse’, a ten track remix album chronicling every release since 2010’s ‘MAELSTRÖM’. This LP features special remixes by Per Byhring, Heskin Radiophonic, Puppet Show, and Fudgedubnofunk from the Fwonk* netlabel alongside reworkings by Katarrhaktes and two tracks completely exclusive to this release.

106 / Puppet Show: Dynamo Cat Banjo

The third and final EP from the benevolent Irish techno smith Puppet Show has been magic’d to our media device screens! This time round the tracks are louder, noisier and more dance edged then e’er before. The EP is also a longer then e’er before with a whopping seven tracks. Why, that’s almost an entire album. Which certainly wouldn’t be possible without the wonderful co-production action from fellow Fwonk* artists Gross Prophet and Katarrhaktes.

Special thanks to Allyzia for proving the awesome cover art!

104 / V/A: Fwonk* Side of the Moon

To celebrate five years of Fwonk*, and forty years of Dark Side of the Moon, our regulars got together and reproduced Pink Floyd’s classic LP.

This LP faithfully follows the original structure, but each track is warped by a different artist or group of artists. This encompasses ambient electronica, chip-tune, shoegaze, metal and idm versions of the classic originals. We even threw in some extra bonus tracks inspired by DSotM for the sheer fun of it.

All songs written and originally performed by Pink Floyd. We are making no money from the release of this EP. We do this for the sheer love of the music. If you don’t own the original Pink Floyd album, we really suggest you get a copy now, as it’s magnificent.

100.2 / Katarrhaktes: Scattered To The Wind

Fwonk*s favourite master of destructive reconstruction Katarrhaktes brings his own inimitable style to our second release of FWONK*100. This album takes tracks from the Fwonk* back catalogue and gives them the full on remix treatment – artists such as Bachelor Machines, Styli, Fudgedubnofunk, Imploded View and Kabukiman see their tracks ripped asunder, transformed, mutated and evolved into something new, something exciting and something chaotic.

100.1 / V/A: FWONK*100

Welcome to FWONK*100 – our hundredth release on the good ship Fwonk*! As we settle down, to read our congratulatory letter from HRH The Queen, we give – as the first salvo in a five-album salute – this massive compilation to you.

Featuring Fwonk* regulars and old-timers such as Heskin Radiophonic, Styli, Vasko The Pig, Katarrhaktes, Fudgedubnofunk, Organic Shift Man and Nemmo this also features – at long last! – the first Fwonk* recording from Norwegian progmeister and father-to-us-all Eivind Fivelsdal.

Fwonk* would especially like to thank Katarrhaktes for the going and building that amazing sculpture and making the artwork just for lil’ ol’ us.

094 / Katarrhaktes: Ascension

A regular contributor to Fwonk*, Katarrhaktes has brought us some stunning music in the past, hopping genres from harsh digital noise, through 8-bit to ambient. Here he brings all those influences together an adds a new element – epic hugeness. This EP is his most complete, accomplished and (dare I say it?) accessible to date.

064 / Katarrhaktes: Pareidolia

The third entry in Katarrhaktes’ string of solo EPs, Pareidolia continues the discourse of the fantastic with eight new tracks which reflect upon ancient texts, delusions of self, and the uprising of counter-culture as extended metaphors for our relationship with the unexplained.

058 / Katarrhaktes: ?!

Katarrhaktes’ re-interpretation of Pentecostal Chip Shop Holocaust’s debut EP is painted with acid, weaving EBM-influenced dance hooks and orchestral ambience through a deluge of digitally crucified percussion, banshee wails, and death growls. Not for the faint of heart.

052 / Katarrhaktes: The Xallarap Investigation

Riding the waves of fire from KATARRHAKTES’ previous concept EP MAELSTRÖM, The Xallarap Investigation is a somewhat more muted affair, favouring stripped back, simplified waveforms to the densely programmed sound fields of prior releases. This EP, written in one week, chronicles the explorations of a scientific research team whose orders are to investigate a planet given the moniker ‘Xallarap’ after extreme gravitational mirages are observed in its vicinity.
