Presenting two previously unreleased tracks taken from the Sleepers/Apnoea sessions, in which a musical motif is torn in two directions. Phirnis intricately builds strata upon strata of introspective swathes of sound, while Katarrhaktes takes the listener to an uncomfortable landscape of pounding, industrial horror.
In under two years the amazingingly prolific and talented 3dtorus has released 4 EPs and now 4 LPs here on Fwonk*, in addition to another 50 releases, and other side projects. Musique-concrete party crashers hxw hxw round off their ‘narcissus…’ era with a full-length remix album. This LP compiles all previous b-sides alongside several new tracks, including ‘lullaby of the portcullis’, an 8 minute monster comprised only of samples of video game deaths.
Long time Fwonk* stalwarts JB and IS join forces with SD to bring us this outstanding industrial metal EP. Downtuned guitars are shredded, growling vocals are processed and Numanesque synths build an intense atmosphere of industrial decay and a cybernetic reality.

Coming from Cordoba, Argentina Ignacio Cantú debuts on Fwonk* with this outstanding album. Indulging his taste for creating atmospherical soundscapes, Ignacio worked with analogue tape by scratching it and cutting it. This was then treated and augmented with digital sound in it’s binarian code using databending techniques. These tracks are electronic experimentation at it’s best, and feature manipulated, ethereal vocals in a collaboration with Clara Gustaffson, from Sweden.
In their second full-length split LP, Phirnis and Katarrhaktes collaborate to bring you the unsettling Apnoea; seven sleep-deprived tracks of industrial/ambience which slip between modes of melody, musique concrete, and extreme electronic dissonance.

The five unconventional remixes on this EP hack the original song to pieces, reassembling its remaining flesh and bones into beautiful depictions of ugliness.

hxw hxw is an experimental, conceptual project that takes its name from the Greek nymph Ekho, who could only being able to repeat words spoken to her, her own voice stolen away in a curse.
Created only using audio samples gleaned from entertainment media such as film, television, and video games, narcissus stripped bare by our own eyes, even questions the vanity of a consumerist lifestyle on which we are growing ever more dependant. Appropriating the mythological Narcissus as an extended metaphor for a self-referential escapist society, hxw hxw also challenges the onanistic practices of art itself and its legitimacy in the contemporary world.
high dart went part way back to the roots and part way to space. The sound of 809 is spacey-rough,
trippy and sometimes there’s a little glint of well-camouflaged cheesiness. and guitars!
while the LP emerged, a lot of synths were oscillating. what else should they have done?
So, 809 is a four dimensional object. To us nothing but a lot of time slices. It can be seen as a tram that takes you down a 40 minute long route through 11 zones inside the abstract. Sometimes it appears spooky, especially if you spend enough time at the terminus of 809.
