193 / Various Artists – Whispers

Over twelve months, twelve Fwonk* artists were put to the test in this experimental single-track album based on the popular children’s ‘Telephone Game’.
In their chosen month, each artist used only the last few measures of the previous month’s track as a foundation for their own interpretation on the theme. The result is a metamorphosis in sound, with often only seeds of previously recognised audio being discernible. Just like the actual game, the first and final tracks could not be further apart.

01 Katarrhaktes – The Gathering Quiet
02 Heskin Radiophonic – xuxurla
03 Anny – Chorizo Dish
04 Bachelor Machines – Unspool
05 Vasko the Pig – And Everything Coming Down
06 echosonic – Flaming June
07 3dtorus – shuffled dirt
08 Cardigan of Wasps – Goreshit Roadkill (Sakura Swarm short ver)
09 Viejos Hombres de Abejon – murmuri

146 / Yan: Super Pig

Yan arrives at the Fwonk table with a pair of huge big dance tracks: Super Pig is a noisey hard trance track with humongous long build ups and a duck‘n‘pump drop.

DJ GO COME ON! is a tech-infused hard hitter, absolutely riddled with ‘DJ’ samples from your favourite plastic Yahama Keyboards WOO! COME ON

The amazing cover art is provided by Robin Keizer

BUB010 / Aural Lab: The Sequence

The debut EP from this experimental three-piece combines the lush vibes of synths and cool tones with rock influences. The Sequence comes across like electro folk – turn the lights off and the music up.

A superb lesson in dirty jazz from Tom Smurthwaite, the genius mind behind these two tracks. Crisp and crunchy, bouncy and bleepy electro.
